Vehicle Mechanic

We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Mechanic to join our team in East Challow near Wantage and there will be occasional work in our Faringdon office as well.

At 1st Choice Cars Sports and Prestige we specialise in restoring classic cars back to their former glory and we are looking for someone with a passion for the industry. As well as restoring the classic cars we also work on some modern cars for the sales department based in Faringdon including MOTs and servicing the vehicles. In 2021 our bodyshop restored a car that made a world record at auction and this is a direct result of passionate staff.

This role includes:

• All forms of mechanics on classic and modern cars.
• MOT repairs.
• Engine rebuilds.
• Welding and painting although training can be given on these skills.

Qualifications:

• NVQ Level 3 in Motor Mechanics or equivalent.
• Many years experience within the industry.
• Although these skills are beneficial some on site training will be provided.

Pay / Benefits:

• £30,000 to £38,000 depending on experience

This role is 40 hours a week working Monday to Friday and there are opportunity’s for overtime at the weekends.
