- Performance to be measured against agreed KPIs in line with physical security requirements;
- Carry out reception duties;
- Facilitating site inductions/site visitors/contractors and managing associated admin;
- Low-security key control;
- Guards to assist with staff to refuel site vehicles, fuel pumps are unlocked, and records maintained and secured on completion;
- Guards to assist with taking an effluent sample from the effluent plant (training will be given);
- Cctv operations and pid system monitoring;
- Control room duties, including radio comms, etc.;
- Fire & intruder alarm monitoring;
- Responding to on-site incidents effectively and following site procedures for escalating and resolving incidents as outlined in the plan and supporting documents. (training will be given for STE-specific requirements);
- Undertake site emergency key roles; (training will be given);
- An agreed percentage of vehicle searches looking to ensure persons within are who they say they are, are permitted to access the site, are not carrying any suspect items/ hazmats;
- Vehicle patrols;
- Foot patrols;
- Touchpoint routes;
- Where required, provide accurate descriptor/written reports;
- Liaise with police Scotland and any other agencies as required.
Requirements:
- Outstanding surveillance and observation skills;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Ability to exercise good judgment;
- Working knowledge of public safety, security operations, and procedures.
