As part of this development, we have the opportunity to expand our radiography team, recruiting into these brand-new roles. We are currently advertising for 2 separate roles:
- Senior rotational radiographer with specialist interest in MRI
- Senior rotational radiographer with specialist interest in IR
Senior rotational radiographer with specialist interest in MRI:
The MRI department will benefit from introduction of new state of the art Philips Ingenia Ambition 1.5T & 3T systems within an environment which has been designed to offer the best in delivering a service which will optimise staff and patients’ experience.
This exciting new opportunity would suit radiographers who currently have experience of working in an imaging department at a senior level and wish to continue with a full rotation of x-ray and CT experience whilst offering additional dedication to develop their career in the field of Magnetic Resonance Imaging. This position offers the chance to be an integral part of our thriving rotational and MRI imaging teams and to work closely with like-minded radiographers, radiologists and auxiliary staff to support a dynamic and effective service which delivers optimal patient imaging outcomes.
The department is supported by a team of Lead Superintendent Radiographers and Superintendent Radiographers and, in return of your commitment to us, we will provide on-going support for your professional development as well as a friendly, challenging and stimulating work environment.

- The radiographer will be expected to work in all areas of Imaging on the Royal Sussex County Hospital (RSCH) site, including the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital (RACH) and Hove Polyclinic.
- The radiographer will need to be able to undertake a wide range of clinical duties to provide a high-quality imaging service and assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients, encouraging and supporting colleagues to also do so.
- To ensure the department delivers an exemplary service and experience to patients and members of the public.
- To ensure departmental adherence to Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (IR(ME)R) 2017 and Ionising Radiation Regulations (IRR) 2017, MRHA MRI safety guidelines and the Trust’s policies, protocols and guidelines.
- Actively participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, including the supervision of newly qualified and junior members of staff, assistant practitioners and student Radiographers
