Head of Parallel Trade

The Head of Parallel Trade will be accountable for the P&L of the Parallel Trade category performance. Developing the business plan and working across commercial and operational teams to gain the right level of support to ensure growth strategies are being implemented and gross margin targets are being met, whilst reducing costs, mitigating risks, shortening lead times, reducing inventories, and improving availability.

Leading a high performing team put in place processes for sourcing, forecasting, risk mitigation and vendor management, that enables AAH to source lower cost products that maximize the category teams effectiveness and business impact.

• Accountable for the PI category P&L (gross margin1) and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual gross margin and volume/market share targets through effective category team and deployment of category strategy.
• Drive sourcing and supplier engagement strategy to ensure AAH has the best possible cost of goods to compete in the most competitive of markets.
• Communicate at regular and ad-hoc trading meetings the commercial performance of the PI category P&L and key drivers, to ensure appropriate support and action is acquired and escalation processes followed.
• Establish and maintain relationships across sourcing partners, to ensure AAH maintains its competitive advantage in terms of access to stock, fair share of stock, and cost of goods.
• Influence and lead strategic and tactical sourcing strategy, working to clear and defined upstream KPI’s to demonstrate PI sourcing effectiveness.
• Identify any changes in market conditions, to anticipate commercial opportunities that enable quick strategic sourcing decisions and modify strategies and tactics accordingly and communicate these changes to senior stakeholders on a frequent basis.
• Implement the processes and tools, to drive the team’s effectiveness in sourcing PI and grey competitively to compete in market, be that through strategic long term sourcing strategy, or through short-term sourcing tactics.
• Understand the Key Value Drivers that impact on the channel P&L.
