At ABP Doncaster, we are now looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant IT Manager to join our team at the Doncaster site. In this role, you will work closely with the IT Manager to manage and develop our IT infrastructure, systems, and applications. Additionally, you will oversee a small team of IT professionals and manage their workload. You will work closely with various departments across the organization to ensure the smooth operation of our IT systems and provide end-user support. The ideal candidate for this position will possess strong technical skills, experience in team management, and a passion for driving innovation and continuous improvement within our IT department.
- Assist the IT Manager in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of our systems and data
- Provide end-user support, troubleshoot technical issues, and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Work closely with department heads to understand their IT needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements
- Manage and maintain our IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and hardware/software systems
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of new IT projects and initiatives
- Keep up to date with the latest technologies and trends and make recommendations for improvements to our IT systems
- Manage vendor relationships products and services
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and data protection laws
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the food manufacturing industry
- Strong technical skills in areas such as network administration, server management, and database administration
- Good understanding of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Experience with ERP systems, such as Infor
- Experience with Manufacturing systems, such as Innova.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- A proactive approach to work and a willingness to take on new challenges
