Warehouse Picker

ABP Yetminster is one of the biggest lamb processors in the UK specialising in the premium cuts and best quality lamb products. Our teams of experienced and reliable meat experts are passionate about building lasting partnerships in the European retail, manufacturing and food service sectors. Producing a full range of high-quality lamb and mutton from whole carcass to graded cuts for retail and food service customers. This includes ‘Dorset Crown’ which is a range of premium products local to the area which are processed and packed at the Yetminster site.

We are based in Dorset, close to the town Yeovil and our commitment is to produce the best quality products and our determination is to surpass expectation that’s earned us our market-leading position.

Currently we are recruiting for full time Warehouse Picker position in Despatch department.

Role Definition:

To work as part of the Despatch team to get the products correctly placed on pallets ready for disputation

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Build pallets in the correct format with regards to amounts and products per pallet
Ensure all product is kept in a good condition while storing
At all time follow the policy/ Procedure relating to temperature control ensuring safe food relating to products
Be able to work well within a team to ensure no breaks in production
Keep the work area tidy, employing a `clean as you go` policy
Always comply with company policy and procedures on safe food handling and hygiene
Carry out all tasks in a safe manner in accordance with attached H&S responsibilities

Knowledge and Experience

Able to work under own initiative
Be a team player
Have basic understanding of Food Safety you will attend training as part of your role to achieve Level 2 Food Safety
Can do attitude with good communication skills and a basic understanding of verbal and written English

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
