Position Overview & Specifications

About The Role


Reporting to the Production Manager, and working closely with our ingest team, producers, sound and video editors, the Technical Coordinator will play a vital role within Acamar’s production team, taking responsibility for coordinating the global post-production process as well as acting as the day-to-day liaison point.

The successful candidate must be a collaborative team player who is willing to roll up their sleeves and support the business as it continues its rapid expansion and growth.


What you’ll do


  • Assist with technical deliveries and ingest of Acamar produced content between departments.
  • Working directly across post production with project management in mind.
  • Work with external post-production houses overseeing QC and ingest.
  • Ensure all technical specifications are strictly adhered to
  • Ensure that existing digital production assets (Audio and Video) are labelled and catalogued appropriately.
  • Manage and maintain the Vimeo platform.
  • Ensuring security guidelines are always followed, and assets are protected.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support by carefully managing the tracking, scheduling and archiving of all digital assets to meet deliverables deadlines.

What you’ll bring


  • An efficient and logical approach to file storage, movement and management.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry-standard media file formats (primarily video & audio).
  • Meticulous attention to detail, and a keen eye for spotting and flagging anomalies, whilst offering solutions
  • Have extensive knowledge of the post-production workflow and knowledge of the series animation process.
  • A proactive approach, that is solutions focused - making suggestions for improvements where necessary and understanding when to draw on support, where appropriate
  • Well organised, inquisitive, & punctual individual.
  • A strong team player, who is also able to work independently and make effective, calculated decisions.
  • Approachable, open-minded, and willing to learn new skills.
  • Agility and adaptability to change and able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent communicator, both verbally and written.
  • Strong multitasker – ability to track and work across multiple orders, simultaneously with great time management skills.
  • The ability to take instruction and provide clear and regular progress reports to multiple departments.

Essential Skills


  • Previous experience (2+ years) in a media ingesting role or a post-production company
  • In depth knowledge of video file formats.
  • In depth knowledge of audio file formats.
  • Working knowledge of quality control of broadcast content.
  • Strong IT skills; an ability to troubleshoot software & hardware issues
  • Extensive knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, as well as some familiarity with DaVinci Resolve.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Google Sheets/Google Docs, and experience with resource/project management software such as Forecast/Harvest, AirTable, or equivalent
