Position Overview & Specifications

Our client, a renowned industrial service provider, are currently searching for a Electrical Fitter to join their team based in Swansea on a 12 week temp to permanent basis.

Job Specification:

Job: Elec / Mech Fitter
Location: Swansea SA1 2LH

Duration: 12-week temp to perm

Hours: Days (Overtime and overtime rates available)

Start Date: ASAP

About The Role -

Our client is a leading Specialised Industrial Service Provider.

They offer a wide range of innovative and high-quality mechanical engineering components and logistics services from our over 200 locations across the UK & Ireland. They provide their customers with the parts and products they need, sometimes partnering with them in their own locations as a seamless extension of their own team.
  • You will be used to working on site in addition to the workshop when required (Site working experience is a distinct advantage)
  • Health & safety will be at the forefront of everything you do
  • You will be happy working with a team as well as working on your own initiative
You will carry out Repairs to all types of industrial equipment including AC and DC motors, Motorised Gearboxes, Gearbox's, Pumps, Fan units and other associated rotating equipment
  • You will have the ability to fault find and identify and rectify defects and worn / damaged components
  • Have as a minimum basic electrical testing capability to assess electrical condition of AC & DC components
  • Have sound mechanical engineering knowledge to identify and rectify faulty and worn / damaged components and understand reclamation techniques and reverse engineering options
