We have a great new opportunity for a Customer Due Diligence Specialist to join our Customer experience team to be based in Manchester or Reading.
The role of Customer Due Diligence Specialist is really important to us. You will be responsible for:
- Completing all Customer Due Diligence / KYC checks in a timely and efficient manner whilst adhering to the antimoney laundering regulations, regulatory requirements, and Bank Policy
- Identify potential risks that may breach the compliance regulations and threaten the bank’s reputation by using tools such as Experian, World Check and personal credit searches to complete and meet KYC requirements.
- To verify Individuals, Beneficial Owners, Directors and Signatories in accordance with regulatory standards by performing electronic verification searches, documenting and requesting supporting information where applicable
- Confirming the identity of persons by carrying out in-depth checks to ensure customer information is correct and matches the information stored on credit reference agencies
- Performing enhanced due diligence checks on high risk customers / assets by running additional checks
- Detecting fraud at an early stage by reviewing proof of ID documents to ensure they are genuine
- Communicate effectively with Financial Crime Team to determine KYC outcomes, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Liaising with senior managers, lines of businesses and other departments including Credit Risk, Sales, Operations, to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements
What we need you to bring to the team:
- Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and data entry accuracy
- Prior knowledge of customer due diligence policy (AML, Fraud, Sanctions / PEPs) and understanding of business structures
- Embraces and proactively promotes Continuous Improvement Culture.
- Ability to deal with multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to successfully interface with business users, IT, and third-parties to determine functional requirements.
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Good team player who is proactive in their work.
