Store Manager for Angle Gaming Lounge

We're looking for a dynamic and passionate person to be the new full-time manager for the Angle Gaming Lounge Peterborough!

The Angle Gaming Lounge is the largest dedicated indoor entertainment venue in Cambridgeshire, with seating capacity for over 120 people in our gaming café and store front. We have a 200+ board game library, Virtual Reality stations and Xbox Series X all included in our day pass wristbands! In addition to this, we also run regular events for tabletop wargaming, roleplaying and collectable card games, from regular weekly meet ups to 100+ player regional tournaments!

As the heart of Angle Gaming Lounge, your role will be to maintain and manage the store, ensuring customers are informed on current facilities and products, being welcoming and able to help introduce customers to new games and experiences, whilst also encouraging customers to participate in upcoming special events. Your role will require you to be an ambassador to all products sold in-store, having a working knowledge of contemporary video and tabletop games (especially for Collectable Card Games) with a passion to constantly learn new products to continue providing the very best in gaming for our customers.

You will responsible for a dedicated team of employees trained for operating the gaming lounge, whilst also being the reception and call point for Angle Gaming Lounge's sister companies, Angle Axe Throwing and Angle Escape Rooms, both of which are situated on site but operated by their own staff.

The role is £24,000 salary, requiring you to work a minimum 40 hours a week. The role includes the standard 28 holiday days a year (as we are open seven days a week and are not closed for most bank holidays) and as a National Living Wage Foundation company, you can expect guaranteed annual pay increases in line with their recommendations. The job also includes subsidised in-store meals and on-site parking.

At least a year of experience as a retail or entertainment manager would be desirable, as would a strong working knowledge of the products provided in-store.
