Animal Farm Adventure Park has changed dramatically over the last few years, and has become one of Somerset's top attractions, with each year bringing more customers, attractions and animals. We are always expanding our team, and now require more Animal Keepers.
Animal related qualifications are essential to ensure animals are receiving the best care and treatment when required.
Ability to give basic medical care, health checks and grooming essential.
We require a lively, enthusiastic animal lover with great customer skills to care for our animals and interact with the public, and giving talks including school groups.
Duties are to demonstrate knowledge of domestic, farm & exotic animals, be confident and to talk to families and answer questions. We have over 200 animals, including farm animals, rare breeds, 'pets' such as rabbits and guinea pigs, reptiles, foxes, mongoose, raccoon dogs, deer, raccoon, meerkats & more
Experience with all of these animals, or specialisation with some of these animals preferred.
Must be able to record medical care, health checks, births, deaths etc daily and properly.
Maintain the farm and keep work area tidy and hygienic. Suitable for focused, hard worker.
This role is only suitable for someone with years of experience with a wide variety of animals, not just with pets. Or with some experience with animals (not just pets) and relevant qualifications in the animal field.
Full time & Part time roles, 6-8hrs per day
