It is a fantastic time to be joining Animal Trust as we continue to expand our services. We have an exciting opportunity to join our existing Client Services Team at the Manchester (Bolton) surgery. Working alongside a dedicated team of 8 colleagues, you will deliver excellent customer service and provide a friendly, professional face for the company. Our surgeries are fast-paced and we pride ourselves on efficiency.
To be successful in this role you’ll have previous experience of working in a customer-facing environment, have excellent communication skills, a passion for animals and the ability to build on the strong teamwork already in place. If this excites you, apply with us today.
Common Duties Include
- Welcoming clients and their pets for appointments and maintaining a compassionate and professional attitude at all times
- Answering telephone calls/queries from clients
- Handling medication prepared by the veterinary surgeon and handing to clients
- Working within a team (and at times alone) to ensure the surgery’s reception, waiting area and consultation rooms are maintained to a high standard of clinical cleanliness
- Dealing with stressed or upset clients and connecting them to the appropriate teams where required
- Taking payments, registering new clients and addressing client concerns
- Organisation and restocking of the practice where required
- Complying with all health and safety procedures
- Complying with data protection legislation to ensure client and patient confidentiality is maintained at all times

- Enthusiastic and motivated to provide a high level of customer service, while taking on a confident attitude
- Strong organisation skills, open, honest and trustworthy
- Pleasant manner, compassionate towards clients and pets
- Strong communicator and able to confidently communicate with clients and staff of all levels_ (Vet Nurses, Vets and Directors)_
- IT literate and a fast learner
- Takes direction and can work from own initiative
- Ability to work under pressure
- Experience of a client-facing role in a fast paced environment essential
Desirable
- Previous experience of working in a veterinary or clinical environment
Job particulars
- Days/Hours per week: 35 hours including evenings, weekends and bank holidays - 4 on, 4 off shift pattern ( 2 x early, 2 x late)
- £10.90/hour
- Some shifts will require working up to 12 midnight
- Holidays (Including bank holidays): 28 days
- Sickness protection benefit awarded after 12 months of service
