Position Overview & Specifications
Anksley Care and Support is a provider of high-quality healthcare and support services for people living in Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. We are recruiting for Care Workers with at least one year experience who are willing to work with children with complex care needs. You will work in the client’s home and some of the care may need to be provided with support from another carer or a family member, usually a parent/guardian.
Skills and experience
Previous experience of working with children with Seizure Management Plans, PEG Feeding, Tracheostomy care, Ventilation Management, Administration of medication or willingness to be trained.
Flexible and committed to cover different shift patterns that could be days and nights;
Punctual, reliable with a genuine interest in caring for clients with complex care needs;
Confident to accompany our children or young people we support on days out if/where necessary;
Able to support with Personal Care; Feeding; Continence Care; Play Therapy;
Has an ability to communicate with children with varying degrees of communication needs.
Relevant training including Care Certificate. You will also receive comprehensive training that will prepare you to manage each client's needs.
