In-House ink dispenser

The position of in-house ink technician will be based in Saicapack, Warrington Road, Wigan. WN3 6XD.

Saica pack manufacture corrugated packaging products.

The successful applicant will initially work alongside an experienced ink technician who will offer hands on training and guidance on how to review a daily production plan for the various printing presses ensuring the required ink is dispensed and issued to the relevant printing press.

quality controlling of dispensed inks, management of press returned ink by recording and storing for re-use and control of ink stock. Instruction will be given on colour matching and the use of digital colour control.

It is expected that the successful applicant should reach a level of competence after 3 months whereby they would be expected to manage the ink department on their own initiative with on-site support available.

The ink department is a key area of the printing industry and is recognised as such within Saicapack.

This position is permanent and is based on a rotating shift pattern Monday to Friday.

Full training will be provided by an experienced, in-house ink technician
