Are you passionate about enhancing a child or young person’s everyday life?

Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to support a young boy with his complex care needs.

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistants who are passionate about their job, enjoy delivering one to one support and who can build positive relationships with our service users and their families.

Our service user is a sociable and happy boy who enjoys attending school and spending time with his family, he enjoys hugs from his care team and responds well with praise and being in a positive environment.

He likes watching TV, especially cartoons and action films, and spends his time playing with musical instruments and sensory toys.

Your role will be supporting him throughout the night on a 1:1 basis, ensuring he is kept safe, and all clinical needs are met. This can include but is not limited to assisting with hourly checks, repositioning, and offering reassurance if he wakes up.

It would be advantageous that you have experience in waking nights, however this is not essential.

He is nonverbal and will communicate using choice cards and a recording device. It is important his Healthcare team can understand and anticipate his wants and needs.

Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.

Essential Experience Required

  • 3 months previous care experience
  • Personal Care
  • Moving and Handling
  • Medication Administration

Desirable Experience

  • Tracheostomy Care
  • Nebuliser Care
  • Oral Suctioning
  • Learning disabilities
  • PEG feeding

We have the following shifts available:

  • Part Time Nights- 1-2 shifts per week
  • 10pm-8am
  • Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

Take a look at these pay rates

Weeknights £13.00 per hour Approx. £130 per 10 hour shift

Weekends £13.50 per hour Approx. £135 per 10 hour shift

Bank Holidays £17.75 per hour Approx. £177.50 per 10 hour shift
