You will make real-time decisions based on the day’s events, curate content for the U.S. audience, write copy, and communicate directly with our publisher partners.

Key Qualifications

You have strong editorial judgment and excellent writing skills.
You have a deep familiarity with the U.S. audience and news cycle.
You have experience with analysis of breaking news and filing clear, concise copy on deadline. Newsletter and social media experience preferred.
You are fluent in data and analytics and can responsibly incorporate user behaviour into your editorial strategy.

Description

- Select articles for featuring across the U.S. newsletter, social media, and U.S. Apple News app, with an emphasis on quality, accuracy, and context. - Write sharp and engaging copy in the Apple News voice. Work with editors to ensure your work meets all aspects of our house style and standards. - Explain and provide context around complex news stories, often on tight deadlines. - Work cross-functionally to support News projects and goals. - Surface bugs and other performance issues.
