Job Title: Warehouse Operative

Location: Ardmel Group, Nasmyth Road, Southfield Industrial Estate, Glenrothes, KY6 2SD

Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor

WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE

The position is part of a warehouse and production team at the Group HQ.

Main Responsibilities/Tasks:

• Make sure that the warehouse is clean and tidy
• Process dispatch reports and maintain paperwork
• Pack boxes neatly
• Carry out instructions without close supervision
• Use forklift (once qualified)
• Assist in unloading of containers
• Move boxes to appropriate location
• Receive incoming goods and fill out Goods Received Note and register delivery
• Maintain good standard of health and safety within the warehouse
• Assist in prep for exhibitions
• General maintenance both inside and outside
• Pick-up and drop-off of customers
• Some local delivery or pick-up of goods
• Assist production/embroidery team where required

The hours of work will be Mondays to Fridays 8.30am to 5.00pm.

The ideal applicant would have;

• Full driving licence
• Forklift licence/experience would be an advantage but not essential
• High standards of work and attention to detail
• Experience of warehouse processes would be advantageous
• Willingness to help in areas outside of normal duties and learn new skills
• Experience in minor maintenance tasks preferred but not essential
• Good level of general fitness as physical/manual work involved

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they can work well as part of a team and on their own initiative. On the job training will be provided. Manual handling tasks involved.
