What will you be doing?
In this role, we require a capable Insurance and Finance Assistant to support our in-house group insurance and finance function. You will work closely with the insurance, company secretarial, tax, financial control, financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and sales teams to develop an understanding of the business operations and take responsibility for your tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with internal day to day insurance queries for the group- Support the gathering and analysis of global data for use in group and subsidiary insurance quotations
- Support the insurance needs of our Conference team
- Assist with contract queries relating to insurance
- Support employees globally with travel insurance planning, queries and claims
- Assist with co-ordinating the timely payment of group and subsidiary insurance invoices
- Maintain accurate filing of group insurance policies and supporting documents
- Support the global insurance budgeting process
- Assist with monthly insurance expense accounting and variance analysis
- Assist with developing and maintaining documentation of departmental procedures.
- Provide support with monthly accounting reconciliations and journal postings
- Support the annual accounting audit file preparation for the insurance and company secretarial functions
- Support the completion of client verification reviews for our global sales and other internal departments
- Support the Company Secretarial & Insurance Manager with ad-hoc projects as required.
Skills & Experience
Excellent communicator who can develop and maintain effective working relationships- Ability to liaise globally with internal and external stakeholders
- High level of accuracy and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to collate, analyse and present relevant data and information
- Excellent organisational skills
- Friendly and approachable
- Adaptable and able to prioritise your workload
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good working knowledge of Word and Excel
- Experience of NetSuite would be beneficial
- Experience of supporting a global annual insurance renewal process desirable
