Quality Auditor - Day shift

Reporting to the QA Manager; as a QA Auditor you will help to ensure the smooth running of the QA Department, by providing technical support and guidance to the Operational team. As part of the cover role, you would be expected to be flexible with your shifts, sometimes at short notice. Good communication skills as well as a good understanding of written and spoken English will be essential. Basic IT skills will be required with the use of word, excel, email and various portals. Knowledge of the QA roles and duties is a must.

Day shift which will be 10 hour days on a 4 on 4 off rotation with any overtime paid at the flat rate.

Key responsibilities include:

· Ensure that production have all necessary paperwork.

· Filing

· To verify work carried out in the production areas against agreed specifications, procedures and standards..

· Conduct monthly traceability.

· Sample, audit and monitor to verify that all processes, procedures and products are being manufactured in a safe & compliant manner.

· Maintain ongoing communication with the operations team and other relevant functions ensuring they are fully aware of quality assurance activities, results and trends.

· Conduct verification checks to ensure equipment is suitably calibrated to comply with required standards.

· ensure that food safety and quality standards are fully complied with at all times

Preferred qualifications /experience :

· GCSE or equivalent standard in Literacy and Numeracy

· Two years minimum working in a food manufacturing environment
