Position Overview & Specifications
The role of the Domiciliary Care Worker is very similar to that of a community Care Assistant and the job titles can sometimes be interchangeable depending on the requirements of the position.
You will be visiting people in their own homes to assist with household tasks, personal care.
ATC Healthcare is based in Central Milton Keynes but recruitment for this role will be for the provision of care in the Bedford area, to begin with; which may be extended to other areas in the future.
Applicants from surrounding areas such as Milton Keynes, Bedford, Northampton and surrounding areas are encouraged to apply, especially with access to their own vehicle.
Candidates must have a valid DBS or be willing to register with the DBS Service.
Driving Licence holders preferred but transport is available (at a fee of £20 per day)
Candidates with relevant experience/training and/or qualifications - such as NVQ Level 2/Health and Social Care or other relevant care qualifications - are preferred but are not essential; however, a willingness to gain such qualifications later is desired.
A minimum of 6 months of experience in a Dom care setting is preferred; however, those with no healthcare experience but are willing to learn are also encouraged to apply and will be considered.
Salary: £10.75 per hour. Minimum working hours of 39 hrs per week, overtime available.
Yearly salary is calculated based on minimum hours worked over the year, not inlcuding bank holiday or annual leave
