Assistant Chef

Restful Homes Group – Asprey Court is currently on the lookout for an Second Chef at our beautiful home based in Erdington.

Our Care Home provides 86 spacious bedroom suites providing the highest quality of care to older residents of Shirley l and the surrounding areas who require Residential, Nursing, mental health and Dementia care.

The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation and maintaining a clean environment for the safe production of beverages and meals in support of the catering function, to ensure a high quality and comprehensive care service is delivered to residents. Shifts are 4 days out of 7.

Job Responsibilities -

Ø Delivers a varied menu of nutritious, well-balanced, attractive meals that meet resident's individual needs

Ø Supervises kitchen team in the handling and storage of food, use of equipment, COSHH and the use of cleaning materials, ensuring all regulations are adhered to

Ø Maintains an effective cleaning schedule

Ø Ensures temperature testing of foods and storage areas are carried out as required and records are maintained

· These duties are not exhaustive. Job holders may be asked to undertake other responsibilities, within their spheres of responsibility and competence

Requirements:
