What you would do as our Specification Development Manager (London)


We are looking for someone who can take responsibility for the development of the specification pipeline for London and the South-East. Our Specification Development Manager will target and develop strong relationships with architects, associated specifiers and end users, and generate a robust and growing specification pipeline leading to a growth in sales across the Door Hardware Group product range.


Reporting to our Director of Sales, Export and Specification, you would:

  • develop new and existing relationships with architects, developers and end client organisations to secure project involvement and specification
  • create relationships with all key architectural practices and associated specifiers in the London area, utilising initiatives such as CPD presentations to drive project involvement
  • adopt a solution selling approach, identifying key project issues to support the development and demonstration of compelling customer propositions
  • deliver increased growth and specification pipeline including project conversion in line with budget and targets
  • promote all associated ASSA ABLOY Group products where relevant to the project
  • provide market feedback and insight to enhance future decision making.


The skills and experience you need

We are looking for someone who:

  • has experience of working with architects in the London and South East, with a track record of successful specification delivered in the region
  • knows the current construction procurement methods and routes to market
  • is happy with a remote role and to travel up to 80% of their time since this role involves extensive travel

Ideally you have some experience in the door hardware industry, and have a Guild of Architectural Ironmongers (GAI) qualification.
