We have a great opportunity as Head of Performance in our Operations Team!
As the Head of Performance at Avanti West Coast, you will be responsible for leading the performance team within the Operations department. This team is responsible for monitoring and analysing performance data to ensure that Avanti West Coast is meeting its service delivery targets and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. You will be working closely with other departments such as Engineering, Traincrew, and Customer Experience to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance performance. This role is critical to the success of Avanti West Coast, as it is essential to maintain the company's reputation as a reliable and customer-focused train operating company.
The purpose of this role is to lead the Avanti West Coast Performance Team in delivering a culture of support and engagement for the business, driving performance improvement. You will oversee the generation of excellent data quality, useful and informative analysis and impactful and relevant performance improvement initiatives, ensuring that efforts are focused in the right areas and embedded into the business through the creation and delivery of an effective performance management system for the organisation.
Knowledge:
¿ Excellent understanding of railway operations and performance management principles and practices.
¿ In-depth knowledge of performance analysis and reporting tools and techniques.
¿ Up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to train operations and performance.
Skills:
¿ Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
¿ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify performance issues and implement solutions.
¿ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Experience:
¿ Extensive experience in a senior performance management role within the railway industry.
¿ Experience in leading and managing a high-performing team to achieve operational targets and performance goals.
¿ Proven experience in delivering performance improvement initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction.
Qualifications required:
¿ A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject, such as Operations Management, Engineering or Business or equivalent relevant experience.
