Multi Trader

We are looking for a passionate candidate whom can add value to our team and whom we can truly get behind to help develop as an individual. Our Maintenance Operative will work closely with our existing On-Site Services and Property Management team conducting a range of maintenance services including anything from landscaping through to painting & decorating and general maintenance.

This position is suitable for persons with a background in the trades of at least several years and can demonstrate excellent ability in the following:

- Painting & decorating.

- Patchwork plastering.

- carpentry.

- plumbing.

-Kitchen/bathroom fitting

- roofing.

- General property maintenance

Candidates who have multiple experience in the above trades will be viewed preferentially

As a Multi trader at AW you can expect to undertake the following duties:

- Weekly reporting to offices for briefing, collection of tools, vehicle and materials.

- Being dispatched to a program scheduled of works.

- Performing a range of varied maintenance tasks, ranging from general landscaping through to plumbing / carpentry and painting & decorating.

- Keeping progress/status of jobs entered into company issued device (smartphone/tablet).

- Working alone and within a small team.

Experience/Qualifications:

- Several years of experience in the trade and being able to demonstrate excellent ability in the desired areas.

- Able to travel throughout east sussex in company van.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Can demonstrate excellent personal presentation to Aw consumers.

- Self motivated, enthusiastic, approachable and a trustworthy team player.

- Must have good organisation skills.

- Must have excellent spoken and written English skills.

- Must be friendly and have a professional attitude.

- Full UK driving licence.

The role will involve carrying out repairs and maintenance to Social Housing properties, ensuring all work is undertaken to a high standard with the minimum of supervision. You will take ownership of work aiming for a 'First time Fix' on all jobs, whilst remaining within budget and time parameters. You will operate within company Health and Safety guidelines and remain up to date with technical and legal requirements of your skill areas.

Essential and Desirable Criteria

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria: Essential Criteria:

• NVQ/qualifications in relation to relevant trade (Plumber) as per AW’s minimum qualifications
• Full, clean driving licence
• Social housing experience

PAYE and Self employed positions available

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £31,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
