Position Overview & Specifications
Job Role
· Processing and interpreting enquiries from our clients.
· Registration and checking of tender documentation received and managing tender addendums.
· Reviewing tender documents/bills and producing trade enquiry packages to be issued to material suppliers and subcontractors.
· Submission of PQQ’s
· Marking up bills of quantities with trade resources using Conquest Estimating Software
· Updating of our subcontractor and supplier database.
· Checking subcontractor and supplier quotations and ensuring they are received within the tender period.
· Producing analysis of tender packages for the senior estimator ahead of the tender settlement using Conquest Estimating Software.
· Carrying out take offs from tender drawings for various work packages using Conquest Take Off Software and Bluebeam PDF Measure software.
· Ability to price from first principles for inhouse trade elements including groundworks, masonry and joinery.
· Regularly updating the Conquest library with current material and labour rates from key suppliers.
· Tender site visits and surveys where required.
· Contribute to the review of all tenders by the Directors and Senior Estimator team prior to submission, including risk reviews. Assisting Senior Estimator in addressing outcomes of tender reviews prior to submission.
· Assist Senior Estimator in producing a tender pack for handover to the Project QS and Site Team once tenders have been awarded.
· Office based hours 830-1700 Monday to Friday, 21 days holiday, Nest Pension Scheme.
· Salary and Car Allowance – 25-30k dependant on experience.

Skillsets required
· Experience in taking off quantities (SMM7/NRM2/Builders Quantities).
· Able to work to deadlines and prioritise workload.
· Versatile team player essential.
· Ability to work to strict tender deadlines.
· Good communication skills and ability to deal with client representatives, design teams and the supply chain.
· Understanding of construction terminology and ability to interpret tender drawings, specifications and bills of quantities.
· HNC/HND Construction or equivalent or working towards Bachelors Degree in Quantity Surveying/Construction Management of Similar Qualification.

Salary: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
