Position Overview & Specifications

BAM Ireland are recruiting a Project Manager to deliver Ireland specific Transformation projects. The role can be based out of any of our UK&I office locations with travel to BAM office and site locations required.

Your mission

Reporting to the People and Governance Lead with the Project Delivery Leads as Matrix Managers this role will focus on day to day delivery of projects and the development of the project management practice within the Transformation enabling service. This will include;

  • Lead, manage and deliver transformation projects established to deliver the BAM Transformational Change agenda in line with agreed scope, quality, time and cost.
  • Responsible for the day to day management of the project managers
  • Working with Sponsors & Senior Stakeholders to translate strategy into outcomes, define the roadmap for change and ensure that the projects are delivered to time, cost and quality. The role will role model Project delivery best practice and actively contribute towards the development of BAM’s Business Change & Delivery capability.
  • Building strong relationship with key project stakeholders
  • Support the team with delivering agreed activities
  • Regular line management duties; 1-1’s, absence management, development plans, performance management
  • Attending SMT as and when required
  • Promoting positive transformation messages
  • Identifying project trends and metrics utilising a dashboard approach
  • Supporting/Facilitate workshops/away days to deliver best practise on reporting, governance and simplification of processes as well as motivational team building events alongside the Project Delivery Manager
  • Ownership of project management as a discipline
  • Practical application of industry best practice within project management
  • Maintenance and/or continuous improvement of documents, processes and procedures within project management
  • Coaching and mentoring of both Practice members and the wider team

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Expert problem-solving skills
  • Enthusiasm and ability to inspire and motivate people
  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills, capable of consulting and collaborating with key players and teams at all levels within the business
