SOC Engineer

My client, a household name, is seeking a hands-on SOC engineer to join their busy cyber defence function.

In this role, your work will be a varied mix across both security operations triaging and incident response, alongside use case development, building rules and ensuring the SIEM/SOAR are working appropriately. You will keep tabs on emerging security threats and ensure that these are recognised and responded to.

In order to be able to fulfil this role appropriately, you will have excellent hands-on skills across SOC Engineering. Ideally, you will have come from a SOC background and moved into this more specialised position. Certifications such as GCIH are useful but by no means a necessity; hands on experience is as valuable.
