Warehouse Operative

All About the Role

Based at our CMT Steel Services Site, Corngreaves Trading Estate, Cradley Heath . We are looking for a passionate and committed Warehouse Material Handler to be part of our skilled and dedicated work force. The shifts will be rotational Monday to Friday 5.30am to 2.00pm then Monday to Thursday 1.30pm to 10.00pm and Friday 11.30am to 8.00pm.

Specific tasks include:

• Pick computer generated orders with repetitive handling/lifting of heavy and large item
• Accurately record stock movement and usage, along with product identification and use of measuring equipment.
• Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team and on your own.
• Operate Saws as and when necessary and after full training
• Transferring stock to its location using a Forklift trucks and cranes
• Assisting in the overall production and dispatch of customers’ orders.
• Maintain high levels of Health and Safety.
• Be adaptable and flexible in approach to work to meet operational requirements

Essential Skills for the role:

• The successful candidate will ideally already have experience as a warehouse operative
• You should be used to working safely, adhering to all health and safety procedures
• Have a flexible attitude, be results oriented, and enjoy working in a team environment
• Ideally you will be able to use mobile equipment (FLT, overhead crane)
• The ability to read written instructions & record accurately work carried out
