We have an exciting new opportunity that has opened up at Barrier Vets for a Veterinary Care Assistant to come onboard and join our team. We are looking for a dedicated, professional team member, who shows a real passion and positive attitude in every duty they perform. You will be supported by a great team of nurses and receptionist.
As a veterinary care assistant, you would be an important part of the team in the practice. You will be performing a variety of duties, such as ensuring the practice maintains high clinical standards, following cleaning protocols, handling animals, feeding animals, reporting and assisting the nurses with inpatient care and preparing medical equipment. You will also be helping with reception duties, answering phone calls, preparing medications and greeting our clients into the practice.
This position is a fixed term contract for minimum of 3 months, with potential of extending.
About you
Candidates MUST have a Veterinary Care Assistant Level 2 diploma or equivalent to meet the application criteria for this role. This candidate needs to be highly self-motivated with good customer service skills. This candidate must have at least 1 year experience in the veterinary industry.

Salary: £10.42-£11.50 per hour
