Job Specification: Production Assistant

Duties:

Producing Chocolates

To work within the chocolate production team creating handcrafted high-quality chocolates for our range of corporate and business clients.

The production day begins at 9am sharp when the production manager will delegate the tasks for the day. These tasks will be a combination of:

Working behind a chocolate machine and filling moulds with melted chocolate.

De-moulding cooled chocolates and preparing these for wrapping.

Finished chocolates are packaged by hand into individual boxes, covered in foil or fed into a flow wrapper and covered in cellophane.

All products are labelled and packaged by hand ready for dispatch to the customer.

All production team members must maintain an awareness of the quality of the products and the equipment they are using and report any faults to the production manager immediately.

All production team members may be asked to undertake other duties and work additional hours

(evenings and weekends) to fill customer demands.

Cleaning

All production staff are required to maintain a clean and tidy working area at all times. They must be aware of and adhere to all Hygiene and Health & Safety requirements specified in the company policy.

At the end of each shift each team member is required to complete a series of cleaning duties and complete the relevant documentation. Leaving the workplace prepared for production the next day.

Other Duties

All production team members may be asked to undertake other duties and work compulsory additional hours (evenings and weekends) to fill customer demands.

Qualifications / Experience:

It is essential that applicants have experience working in a fast moving repetitive environment and have a proven track record of good attendance and time keeping.

Previous experience working in food production or holding a Food Handling Certificate would be an advantage.

The ideal candidate must have:

A polite manner, be able to follow instructions.

Be able to pay attention to detail.

Be able to concentrate and work diligently.

Can be on their feet all day.

Have a good understanding of spoken and written English.

Other Information:

Training will be given on the job.

Uniform will be supplied, please bring kitchen shoes if you have them.

Mobile phones and other personal items must be kept in the locker provided.

Please leave all jewellery and piercings (except for a plain wedding band) at home.

No false eye lashes.

Nails must be natural and kept short.

Chocolate Production Assistant Required

Baxter Murray Creative Chocolate are recruiting a Production Assistant to work within the chocolate production team.

We are looking for someone who has an eye for detail and has experience working in a fast-moving repetitive working environment.

Preference may be given to candidates who have experience working in food production or have a Food
Handling Certificate.

The ideal candidate will be available to work up to 28 hours per week, hourly rate is £10.75.
