Job Title: Foundations Engineer Intern
Beacon Platform's Front Office Suite provides a wide array of applications, market models, and cross asset pricing and risk analytics built atop core Beacon Platform services. Your job will be to build, improve, and extend these components as part of a collaborative project with our team of financial developers. You will also write and improve documentation, lead presentations and provide training on what you build to your colleagues at Beacon and our clients.
Purpose of Job
Dive into Beacon's foundations for providing our clients with front office components. Write, test and deliver high quality code for components such as Real Time Risk, Deal modeling, and risk reporting. Work with clients to adapt and customize our core cloud-hosted Trading Risk Management platform to address their needs.
Responsibilities:
- Write, test, implement and maintain components for the FOS Foundations team.
- Participate in code reviews and provide technical feedback to the team.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high quality APIs.
Essential Criteria:
- Fundamentals of software engineering such as data structures and algorithms.
- Some proficiency in Python.
- Exposure to multiple programming languages and paradigms.
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL database technologies
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus.
