Herdsperson

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our experienced team milking 350 Holstein cows in Fife Scotland.
We are requiring someone with at least some milking experience, further training in husbandry and technical skills will be provided.

You will be working as part of a 3 person team milking twice a day. The farm is shortly moving to milking 3 times a day meaning that the full time team will mainly be milking in the morning starting at 3.30am and then mid day milking, with an aim to be finished up by 3pm. There will also be times when the shift will start at mid day and work through until 10pm for the night shift. To allow for a better work life balance. You will be working every second weekend.
Between milking you will be bedding cattle, cleaning equipment and helping with the general management of the cows and calves.

-Family run farm, the business is a mixed farming enterprise with sheep and arable alongside the dairy

The job comes with a 3 bedroom house, central heating and has recently been redecorated and new carpets throughout.
We are offering a very competitive salary package based on experience.
