CAD Technician, providing & designing 2D & 3D plans for sales projects

We have an opportunity for a CAD technician to join our team, working on innovative and exciting farm and AD projects in renewable energies and supporting the sales team. Experience in engineering/civils/manufacturing/oil and gas / agricultural background is essential.

We need to hire fairly urgently so relocation cannot be considered.

Candidates must be within travelling distance to Truro for meetings and teamwork, there is scope for occasional work from home. This can be a FT/PT or freelance opportunity for the right candidate.

Job purpose - Working with the sales teams in the creation of 2D Plans and 3D models to support achievement of departmental goals and milestones.

Duties and responsibilities (full JD on request)

• Creating working 2D & 3D drawings for agricultural and civils projects, working with photogrammetry models
• Discussing designs with others in the team, involving comment and contribution
• Producing detailed drawings, modelling and calculations
• Explaining and discussing designs with other people, amending as required
• Writing manuals/ design details where applicable
• Storing/filing designs appropriately

We are looking for a candidate with industry experience and the following:

Proficiency in technical drawing, an understanding of manufacturing and construction processes

Engineering/civils/manufacturing/oil and gas / agricultural background and industry experience

Intermediate/advance solidworks and auto cad experience

Degree in design and/or engineering/construction (desirable only)

Ability to drive as site is outside of Truro centre

Salary/contract is dependent on experience

Part-time hours: 30-40 per week

Salary: £26,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
