Production/Packing Operative

One of the largest players in the UK’s dried fruit, nuts, and seeds market and an established factory based in Ipswich is hiring multiple positions for the role of Production/Packing Operative.

As a Production/Packing Operative your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Check product quality on production line
• Keep machines supplied with packaging materials and labels
• Reporting machine faults
• Various tasks within the nut factory
• Production tasks including cleaning
• Packing
• Labouring duties
• Box making & palletizing
• Repacking & reworking
• Lifting boxes
• Overall and general cleaning

The successful candidates will be trained on the job and employment will commence as soon as possible.

Shifts include: 06:00 -14:00 & 14:00 - 22:00 both Monday to Friday with 30 minutes unpaid break.

Rate of Pay: £9.50 per hour increasing to £10.42 per hour in April.

Benefits include: on-site car parking, 28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays and an overtime rate of 1¼ times normal hourly rate.

Assessment and offer of employment will be solely on the basis of the candidate’s abilities and individual merit as measured against the criteria for the job. No previous experience is necessary as fully supported on-the-job training is offered.
