Title Scheduler/Planner (Smart Metering)
Location Office location - Newcastle, NE15 8NX
Reporting To Scheduling Team Leader
Role Purpose You will play a crucial role as a Scheduler. Working within a busy team you will be planning and jeopardy managing the workload of a team of field based Smart Metering Engineers.
Key Responsibilities
The Scheduler will assume full responsibility for planning and jeopardy management of the workload of a team of field based Smart Metering Engineers. The key responsibilities are outlined below;
- Proactively schedule work for field based Smart Metering Engineers across the UK
- Ensure that work is planned effectively maximising density and minimising travel
- Issue emergency/high priority work to the best placed Engineer ensuring that client SLAs are adhered to and pre-planned work is not put into jeopardy
- Continually liaise with and update field based management on progress and issues throughout the day
- Liaise and communicate effectively with multiple clients to ensure the completion of all work in a timely manner and address any issues to the satisfaction of the client
- Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement and share best practice with your colleagues
