We are looking to recruit a Yard Operative to join our Harlow Depot. You will be a key link to the depot by being responsible for processing instructions received from the Depot Supervisor in ensuring quality, safety, security, and minimising wastage.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Ensure all equipment loaded onto vehicles is correctly counted and has the appropriate documentation.
• Ensure all work carried out at the depot and on site is done in the most efficient manner taking the company, customers and H & S regulations into consideration.
• Ensure any defective plant and equipment are reported immediately.
• Ensure all tasks and targets allocated by the depot manager and depot supervisor are completed accurately and within the timeframe allocated.
• The candidate will deal with collections being returned into the Depot

Essential Requirements:

• Self-motivated
• Show initiative to carry out tasks independently
• Able to work as part of a team
• Able to cope with the physical demands of the role
• Understand the importance of deadlines
• Willing to work outside in all weather conditions
• Forklift experience is an advantage

Work Schedule

• Monday - Friday between the hours of 07:00 - 16:00
• Based on a 40hr working week before overtime
• Christmas shutdown

Pay Rate

• £11.00 per hour (40 hour contract)
• Weekday overtime x 1.25
• Saturday overtime x 1.5
