Wheel Lathe Operator

Cotswold Cheltenham is looking for a Wheel Lathe Operator.

Your role

The role will involve inspecting and carrying out a full alloy wheel refurbishment using a CNC lathe to high-quality standard. The role will pivot around providing the highest levels of customer service to both our internal and external customers alike.

You will support our aftersales and sales departments to ensure we provide a high-quality repair in timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Removing and refitting of alloy wheels in line with Cotswold Motor Group standards
• Removing and refitting of tyres, in order to balance wheels using tyre fitting machinery.
• Wheel cleaning & sand blasting prior to re-machining.
• Planning of process to carry out wheel repair in optimal ways to ensure the best possible finished result.
• Operation, controlling and programming of a CNC wheel lathe.
• Straightening of buckled wheels.
• Quality control of all repairs ensuring high standards at all times.
• Completion of appropriate paperwork and job cards.
• Liaising with colleagues to ensure all jobs completed in a timely manner.
• Ensuring health and safety standards adhered to.
• Ensuring working area is kept clean and tidy.

Working hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday

Your profile

This is an exciting role in our SMART repair department that offers the opportunity to work on the full range of BMW Group vehicles in a state-of-the-art facility. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives on working in a fast-paced environment, is highly motivated with the ability to follow set processes and have a logical approach to problem solving.

Previous experience within a similar role and a Full UK Driving License is essential.
