We are looking for a Counter Assistants to join the team at our Highams Park Branch, on contracts from 16 hours per week up to full time, shifts covering Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6.30pm and Saturdays 09:00 to 15:00. You will need to have previous customer service experience. Previous Pharmacy experience is not essential but would be preferred. Full training well be given.
As a Pharmacy Counter Assistant, you will be part of a team focused on helping patients feel good, giving clear advice on health, pharmacy products and counter medicines, as well as the services we provide. This involves working across the healthcare counter and the retail floor. You will often be the first contact a patient has during their journey within the pharmacy and as such it is essential you have a friendly personality and excellent communication skills. Being a counter assistant within our company does not limit you to one position, it involves many more exciting opportunities through development and progression. A desire to better your skills and knowledge is required in an individual as completing company funded regulated training is mandatory.

Responsibilities
Ensuring patients receive a friendly, attentive service
Communicating with patients regarding prescriptions and over the counter queries
Supporting the delivery of professional services in the pharmacy
Assisting in improving over the counter sales
What you will need to have and learn:
Previous experience of working within a pharmacy is desirable but not essential as on the job training will be provided and support towards certification and development given.
Ability to work as part of a healthcare team
Passionate and enthusiastic about providing patient care
Excellent communication skills and customer rapport
Organised and motivated
Compassionate and caring nature
Starting salary of £9.50 per hour, which can be enhanced through development, completion of courses and training and length of service.
