This is an exciting opportunity for a Research Assistant to work on a project investigating the impacts of differing types of dietary advice for reducing free sugar intakes on dietary behaviour.
The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of running a randomized controlled trial, resulting in valuable experience in this increasingly popular methodology. The work will involve aspects of participant recruitment and screening, participant testing, data input and quality assurance, data analyses and writing, to result in published papers. Full training will be given throughout.
You will be working within a small team of researchers, based at Bournemouth University, led by Professor Katherine Appleton. You will have a background in Psychology, Nutrition, or a Health-related discipline, with preferably a qualification at MSc level. You will have comprehensive experience of a variety of research methods, exceptional organisational skills, clear abilities in decision-making and accountability, and good communication skills. Experience in research trials or experimental studies would also be of benefit.
This position is available on a part-time, fixed-term basis for 15 hours per week until 30 September 2023.
This position does not meet the eligibility requirements for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route within the UK Visa and Immigration service’s Points Based System. Therefore, BU will not be able to sponsor individuals who require permission to work to carry out this position.
