Our highly skilled and creative workforce is comprised of individuals drawn from a broad cross section of the globe, who reflect a variety of backgrounds, talents, perspectives and experiences that help to build our global learning community.

Bournemouth University (BU) is fostering the growth of research that is relevant to society. To support this, the Research Development & Support (RDS) department is seeking to appoint a Research Contracts Manager. This is a new role for the University and will support our BU2025 strategy to increase research and knowledge exchange income and activity. The postholder will work with our Legal Services team to implement standard approaches to research and knowledge exchange contracting that achieve efficiency and efficacy in delivery.

The postholder will be responsible for the timely resolution of contract negotiations to ensure that externally funded research and knowledge exchange projects proceed at pace. They will also advise on the contract management of awarded projects.

We are looking for an individual with knowledge and experience of contracting issues relevant to research and knowledge exchange, as well as experience of working in a higher education and/or research environment. You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be able to build strong working relationships, have excellent attention to detail, and be able to identify risks and issues and propose solutions.

In return for your talents, we offer a generous remuneration and benefits package, as well as flexible working hours.
