Bowesfield Kennels and Cattery are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated animal lover to join our close-knit team. We are a small family run business providing quality pet care services to the local area.
Experience of working with Cats and/or Dogs would be beneficial. You must be confident in handling animals of all shapes and sizes as our slogan says, “Big and Small We Love Them All”. Some animals may be nervous, so confidence is key. Customer service experience would also be beneficial as this is a huge part of the job role.
You must be able to understand both dogs and cats temperaments and needs and be able to deal with any situation in a calm and controlled manner. We are a busy boarding kennels so you must be reliable, excellent at time keeping, Having a flexible attitude and being able to think on your feet as well as using your own initiative is a must in this job role.
Your Job Role will include:
Early Morning/Afternoon Shifts (8am-1pm) (2:30pm-5:30pm) Weekdays and weekends are included in this particular job role. Please only apply if it possible for you to work both weekdays and weekends.
Caring of all breeds/sizes and natures of both Cats and Dogs
Exercising Dogs
Administering Medication where required
Feeding of all the animals
Cleaning Kennels, Cat Pens and small animal hutches
Photography of the guest’s for their owners and our social media
Customer Service including the checking in/out of animals
Cleaning of the kennel/cattery/rabbit block
Salary:
Minimum Wage dependent on age
