Operations Manager - Thetford

Responsible for directing the activities associated with the outbase operations to ensure the effective management of the operation

• Customer contact – support localisation working with local RSM and providing feedback to regarding any service issues
• Ensure the site runs within budget, and identify local opportunities for cost savings/efficiency gains
• Ensure adherence to Company policies and procedures & ensure Group H&S policy is implemented and adhered to on site – accident investigation as required / customer RA / driver briefs including company updates and guidance
• Compliance management – AM/PM checks and paperwork, managing VC40s and local repair agents, vehicle downloads each Saturday morning, weekly vehicle cleaning schedules
• QC contact and tasks including probe calibration checks and site Audits
• Frontline management of drivers to ensure required delivered service levels
• On the job training for new starters
• Manage two-way communication cascade
• Driver absence and return to work management, point of contact for any potential performance, disciplinary or conduct matters
• Daily communication with RDC planning team - route balancing feedback for the following day’s deliveries
• Management of administration including: invoices and driver return to stores sheets; and accountability for the safe based within the depot
• Route cover for unplanned absence and holidays
• Primary collection of stock from the RDC throughout the night if required (overspill/resource)
• First on site each morning opening up the depot
