Due to the expansion of our Dental Surgery, we have an exciting opportunity become available. This opportunity will enable you to work in a dynamic and positive enviroment whilst being part of a friendly, supportive team. Our ideal candidate is passionate about dentistry and will possess excellent customer service skills in order to create a pleasant experience for patients.
Responsibilities:
- Have a positive disposition and "can-do" attitude.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and ensure they are comfortable and at ease during their visit to the dentist.
- Clean, sterilize, and maintain dental tools and equipment, maintaining proper cross infection protocols, ensuring all are readily available for use by the dentist
- Explain treatment plans in simple terms to patients.
- Communicate any problems with equipment or supplies to the practice manager.
- Maintain and monitor stock, check for use by dates and record items that need to be ordered.
- Recording patient details, charting, plans and assist in arranging appointments
- Taking payments.
- Be flexible with a positive work ethic.
- Be relied upon to use own initiative and be able to work well within a team.
- Check lab work daily and be able to communicate issues with front team and dentists.
- Provide chair side assistance in a professional and friendly manner to ensure the smooth running of treatments.
- Work within the ethical guidelines set out by the GDC to maintain professionalism, adhere to UK-GDPR, maintain a high standard of personal presentation etc.
- Hold current GDC certification.
- Carry out annual relevant PDP and CPD.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week
Salary: £10.50-£15.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:
- ABERDEEN: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Dental assisting: 1 year (preferred)
- Dental Nursing: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Valid GDC registration (preferred)
