Job Location: Flexible in The UK
Salary £ 32,170 - £35,747 (plus ILW if applicable based on 35 hours per week)
Contract Type: Fixed Term – 18 Months

Could you play a key role in ensuring that the British Red Cross is proactively responding to human trafficking?

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for someone with expertise in supporting survivors of human trafficking in the UK to join our team as an Anti-Trafficking Advisor.

This role provides a pivotal function within the Anti-Trafficking management team, collaborating with the Head of Anti-Trafficking to manage the organisations anti-trafficking activities, and be a focal point for the work carried out in the UK.

A day in the life of a Anti Trafficking Advisor will involve:

As an Anti-Trafficking Advisor (UK) you will be responsible for managing and developing the organisations anti-trafficking activities in the UK. You’ll be providing anti-trafficking guidance and expertise to the organisation to ensure that Red Cross people are equipped to provide consistent, quality and appropriate responses.

In addition to ensuring the organisation is proactively responding to trafficking by monitoring and responding to the sector, a key function of this role is to develop and enhance care, support (protection) and prevention activities at a national level. You’ll be required to provide expert strategic, technical and operational advice and support to colleagues in relation to anti-trafficking throughout the organisation. You will monitor trends as well as responding to the external environment and changing sector needs. You’ll seek new opportunities for collaboration, develop funding opportunities and proposals.

To be a successful Anti Trafficking Advisor, you’ll need:

  • previous experience of working in anti-trafficking roles and have a strong understanding of the issues effecting survivors of trafficking.
  • a comprehensive knowledge of the national policy context and legislative frameworks that shape the experience of survivors in the UK.
  • You understand the needs of beneficiaries; you have experience of developing policies and of developing beneficiary-focused services.
  • demonstrable project management skills and associated experience; you’re comfortable dealing with the full project management lifecycle.
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills; you’re able to build and maintain effective relations and partnerships
  • You’re organised; capable of managing a complex workload whilst taking account of competing priorities.
