Account Manager

What you need to know about the role
As an Account Manager working at British Steel you will be part of a frontline sales team responsible for successfully delivering the business strategic and tactical intent. You will build partnerships with a portfolio of international accounts to maximise their contribution to the achievement of business commercial objectives.

You will be integral to the management of the relationships of a portfolio of customers in order to understand and influence their current, medium and long term requirements for products and service and in doing so, optimise their profit potential. You will be the voice of the customer within British Steel.

You will be responsible for the development and execution of account plans to grow attractive business and in mix management to optimise business returns. You will also contribute in other areas such as the development of value propositions and demand forecasting.

What we need to know about you
We are looking for a strong negotiator with experience in a similar role. You ideally need to be degree educated and experience in dealing with international markets and export documentation would be an advantage.

Communication is critical to the success of this role therefore you need to be able to communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. You will also have well developed analytical, project management and influencing skills.
