Position Overview & Specifications

REPORTING TO: Nightshift & Hygiene Manager

OVERALL PURPOSE OF ROLE: To ensure nightly production targets are met to the correct quality, cooking schedules are completed. Ensure the factory is cleaned to a high standard whilst ensuring that both production and hygiene teams are working to maximum efficiency.

MAIN TASKS:

HYGIENE

1. Supervision of nightshift production and hygiene operatives

2. Accurate completion of all hygiene related paperwork

3. Ensure the factory is cleansed correctly in accordance with the HOLCHEM manual and ensure all chemicals are used and disposed of correctly.

4. Ensure all waste is segregated and any separated recyclable materials are bailed and taken to the yard area.

5. Ensure all staff have good personal hygiene including adherence to all company procedures including dress code by which you should lead by example.

6. Physical stock check of cleaning materials, PPE, and distribution of clean laundry.

PRODUCTION

7. Ensure quality of product and correct processing is adhered to correctly, including any badder addition

8. Ensure all cooking, cooling and roasting schedules are completed as per instruction and that any production targets/deadlines are achieved.

9. Ensure Morep is probed and loaded as per instructions

10. Batch control- Ensuring full batch traceability is maintained.

11. Accurate completion of batch numbers, batch codes and all other relevant production paperwork.

12. Operate the clean as you go policy

OTHER DUTIES

13. Complete all door checks making sure the factory is secure, this includes the surrounding area and also setting the alarm. All paperwork related to this is to be filled in.

14. Ensure safe working at all times in accordance with health and safety and company procedures.

15. Training and development of your team whilst liaising with the training manager and making sure all staff appraisals are completed.

RESULTS AREAS AND OBJECTIVES

  • Hygiene - To enforce and maintain the company procedures of the strict hygiene cleaning standards, ensuring the factory is cleansed in accordance to the HOLCHEM manual. All waste to be dealt with in accoordance to company procedures. Ensure all chemicals are disposed of correctly.
  • Security - To complete all security checks ensuring that all paperwork is completed and that the alarm is set to ensure the site is secure.
  • Cooking, Cooling, Roasting -To ensure the highest possible standards of quality are apparent through all processes. All paperwork to be filled in. Any issues to be communicated to Technical Department.
  • Batching System - All production paperwork must be filled in correctly and must be accurate. Batch numbers also need to adhere and ensuring we have full traceability.
  • Health & Safety - To ensure all laws & company policies regarding health and safety are strictly complied with at all times.
  • Staff Management - To motivate and maintain a good relationship with all the staff. To be seen as firm but fair in all situations. Recognise future potential within the staff and develop accordingly. To be involved in the appraisal of staff annually.
  • Staff Training - To provide adequate training so all staff fully understand cleaning methods equipment and job requirements. To train existing staff to higher levels building the workforce to allow expansion.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £24,000.00 per year
