Position Overview & Specifications

Why this job matters
Our Agile Coaches are servant leaders and enablers; coaching multiple teams at scale, providing guidance and expertise on Agile methodology, standards and frameworks and uplifting capability across Consumer Digital.
You'll focus on embedding agile principles, methods and practices to improve delivery, ways of working and maturity within the organisation to achieve desired outcomes. You'll foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement.
Key focuses include: facilitating planning and alignment at a program/portfolio level in a transparent, collaborative manner; identifying opportunities to unlock business value earlier, championing the embedment of best practices, great leadership and truly autonomous teams.

Please note, we have 3 vacancies in each of these locations: Birmingham, Leeds or Manchester.
What you’ll be doing
1. Executes the implementation of Agile process focused on product planning, development and delivery and establish governance across cross-functional teams.
2. Supports strategic consulting for development teams (pods), engineering leadership, Scrum masters, product management, product owners, and leadership to determine strengths and weaknesses and set action plans for continuous and relentless improvement.
3. Organises and participates in partnerships with leaders across the group to foster Agile principles.
4. Leverages the Scrum master community to identify systemic inhibitors of Agile ways of working and drive the resolution of these to enable the successful scaling of Agile delivery.
5. Follows BT Group's Agile learning programme delivering Agile training and curriculum solutions, individually and in partnership with human capital partners.
6. Delivers Agile capability uplift through working with Scrum masters, across the team and broader BT (e.g. training, custom workshops, coaching, mentoring, value stream analysis, etc.).
7. Executes the implementation of practices, tools and professional standards and frameworks across Agile disciplines continuously evolving based on business need or industry changes.
8. Collates Agile internal support documentation in a central repository (i.e., documentation, diagrams, presentations, flowcharts, and other artifacts).
9. Works with other Agile coaches to establish and evolve BT Agile frameworks and guidance, and improve the application of Agile practices across BT.
10. Champions, continuously develops and shares with team knowledge on emerging trends and changes in Agile Coaching.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone with experience implementing Lean-Agile ways of working in a large, complex organisation, with a good understanding of the software delivery lifecycle. Given the nature of the role, we'd also expect that you'd have strong knowledge of Agile frameworks, and ideally SAFe Practice Consultant Certification.
