#TeamBulk is hiring a Food Safety and Quality Technician (Raw Materials)

In a nutshell

As a sports nutrition and health food manufacturer, we produce a wide range of products including powders, capsules, tablets, and soft gels within our own manufacturing facility.

In this role, you will be working closely with the operations team to ensure raw materials released to manufacturing meet stringent FSQ standards. Reporting to the shift Supplier Quality Assurance Lead you will be responsible for monitoring FSQ of raw materials. This will support our programs for BRC implementation.

What will you be doing?

  • Conduct aseptic raw material sampling in line with quality management system requirements and ensure results are reported accurately.
  • Where applicable conduct organoleptic assessment of raw materials.
  • Ensure there is control of product when sampled under positive release.
  • Conduct raw material assessment using NIR (Near InfraRed) Technology.
  • Review certificates of analysis raw material deliveries to verify release criteria against raw material specifications.
  • Complete organoleptic assessment of the final product to ensure the product meets specification.
  • Ensure results are recorded and tracked.
  • Escalate FSQ issues at the point of concern.
  • Raise non-conformances and support FSQ team with any investigations related to non-conformances including investigations linked to supplier discrepancies.
  • Ensure retained samples are stored in such a manner they can easily be retrieved in the event of a product query.
  • Work with teams to ensure all stock placed on hold/quarantine is resolved in an efficient manner.
  • To support the FSQ Team as required.

What are we looking for?

  • Basic Food Safety and HACCP qualification however ideally qualified to Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Has an eye for detail
  • Strong communication skills and a great team player
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Can prioritise workload
  • Computer literate.
