Position Overview & Specifications

Remote Counsellor/Psychotherapist

BACP Accredited / NCS Accredited membership

Nationwide – remote

Salary £31,500 -£33,500 based on FT hours. Part-time hours also available pro rata.

Permanent

Our Accredited Counsellors work 8-hour shifts covering the hours between 8am to 8pm, weekends as required to manage a case load of telephone counselling clients.

This role is a wonderful opportunity to really make a difference to people’s lives. You’ll deliver a telephone counselling service to Bupa clients in accordance with Bupa policies and procedures.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing telephone counselling to a case load of clients, short, medium, longer term sessional work with a varied mix of client presenting problems, including oncology

  • Conducting mental health triage assessments

  • Assessing and managing risk to clients and others as required

  • Working in adherence to professional standards and compliance with regulatory framework

We offer protected non-working days per week.

Who we’re looking for

  • Recognised Counselling diploma qualification (Level 4) or higher

  • BACP or NCS Accredited membership

  • Rich and varied experience of Counselling different sectors of and clients in society

  • Experience in working with complex cases is desirable

  • Preferably previous experience providing telephone counselling over short, medium or longer term

  • Flexible attitude to work the shifts required

  • Strong IT skills – experienced MS Office packages (including preferably MS Teams) – this is a busy computer and phone-based role
