Host/Restaurant Reservationist

Hosts are the face of our restaurant; our hosts are responsible for delivering exceptional service and welcoming each and every one of our guests to our restaurants like it’s their home.

Duties:

• Welcoming and seating our guests at their tables providing the correct menus
• Building and maintaining rapport with our guests where appropriate
• Complete the restaurant table layout
• Confirming reservations via telephone, online, email and walk-in
• Communicating with managers, front of house and kitchen colleagues
• Work as a team to prepare table plans to ensure maximum turnover
• Monitor and control the table rotation to achieve a smooth flowing service within our busy environment
• Having the ability to work under pressure and think on your feet
• Taking guest feedback
• Provide accurate wait times and monitor/organise waiting lists
• Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options
• Maintain a clean and organised reception area at all time
• Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g. children, elderly)
• Answer incoming calls and address customers’ queries
• Answering on a regular basis all e-mail enquiries including Events bookings
• Greet customers upon their departure with a warm smile
